Charity of the Year
NI Children's Hospice
At McKeever Hotels we’re committed to making a positive impact in our community. That’s why we’re thrilled to announce our partnership with Northern Ireland Children’s Hospice as our chosen Charity of the Year for 2024. This collaboration signifies our dedication to supporting those in need and aligns with our ‘We Do More’ ethos, emphasising our commitment to giving back to our community.
Our Commitment:
Throughout the year, all four of our Northern Ireland hotels – Dunadry Hotel & Gardens, Corr’s Corner, Dunsilly Hotel, and Adair Arms Hotel – will rally together in support of the Northern Ireland Children’s Hospice. This incredible organisation provides specialist palliative care to children and young people facing life-limiting and life-threatening illnesses, offering invaluable support to their families across Northern Ireland.
Why Northern Ireland Children’s Hospice?
The Northern Ireland Children’s Hospice is a beacon of hope for families facing unimaginable challenges. The hospice not only provides essential care, comfort, dignity, and compassion for the children, but also offers invaluable emotional and practical support to their families during these challenging times.
With annual operating expenses of more than £20 million and an increasing demand for its crucial services, the Northern Ireland Children’s Hospice relies heavily on financial contributions from the public and business community to sustain its invaluable care programs.
As a family-owned business, we are deeply moved by the essential services provided by the Children’s Hospice and their unwavering dedication to local families. We are genuinely honoured and proud to contribute to such a meaningful cause, knowing that our efforts will directly impact the lives of those in need within our community.
Our Initiatives:
Led by our Managing Director, Eddie McKeever, we have devised a comprehensive year-long schedule of fundraising events and activities. These initiatives will involve our team members, suppliers, and guests, creating a collaborative effort to support the Children’s Hospice. From simple adjustments to our daily operations, such as our coffee cup donations, to volunteering opportunities, special events, and collaborations with local suppliers, we are committed to making a difference in any way we can.
Coffee Fundraising Campaign:
One of our first initiatives is our coffee fundraising campaign. For every cup of coffee sold across our Northern Ireland hotels, we pledge to donate 5p to the Northern Ireland Children’s Hospice. With our guests consuming an average of over 50,000 cups of coffee per year, this initiative alone has the potential to raise much needed funds for this worthy cause.
